Business climate survey: German Business in Japan 2017 (German)
The study was published in cooperation with the Germany Trade and Invest. It addressed 397 German firms. As 106 of them answered, a representative response rate of 27% was achieved. The number of German visitors to Japan continues to increase significantly.
Number of German Visitors to Japan Hits Another Record High in 2016
The number of German tourists (light blue line) climbed to a new record high of more than 111'000 by the end of 2016. The number of business travelers also increased (dark blue line) and stood at the end of 2016 at more than 60'000. 13'000 German visitors fall under the category 'other visitors'. So the total number of Germans that visited Japan in 2016 sums up to more than 184'000.
